Folio is a specialist agency for the publishing industry. The company was set up by Penny Lawson who has 13 years’ editorial experience.

Penny graduated from Exeter University and started out as Editorial Assistant at Harpers & Queen. Her next move was to Eaglemoss Publications where she worked on gardening books for Reader’s Digest, plus Creating Your Home and Disney’s The Lion King magazines. She left as Deputy Editor and became Chief Sub-editor on Safeway Magazine published by Redwood, then went freelance and subbed on magazines such as In Style, BBC Homes & Antiques, Woman & Home, Yachting World and Delicious.

In 2005 Penny launched Folio. She enjoys combining the worlds of publishing and recruitment and has one simple aim – to truly match the needs of both candidates and clients.
